Preview: Bonanza Bengals vs. Valley Vikings
After three games on the road, Bonanza is heading back home. They will take on the Valley Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Bonanza suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were dealt a 54-20 defeat at the hands of Southeast Career Tech.
Meanwhile, Valley can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. They blew past Amplus Academy 62-12 at home. With Valley ahead 40-8 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anaya Williams, who almost dropped a triple-double on 13 points, nine rebounds, and 11 steals. Williams hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games. Another player making a difference was Quinn Steidler, who scored 14 points along with nine steals and seven assists.
Bonanza's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Valley, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-7.
Bonanza took a serious blow against Valley when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 57-14. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Williams, who scored 24 points along with eight steals and five rebounds.
