Basketball Recap: Wylie Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Wylie proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 23) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 36-33 victory over the Lakeview Centennial Patriots. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted since December 31, 2024.

Wylie pushed their record up to 18-11 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.5 points per game. As for Lakeview Centennial, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-13.

Wylie will face off against Wylie East at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeview Centennial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
