Basketball Recap: Dooly County Comes Up Short

Dooly County lost against Wilkinson County back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dooly County Bobcats were beaten by the Wilkinson County Warriors 70-33. The contest marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Dooly County dropped their record down to 1-11 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Wilkinson County, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Dooly County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 63-43 loss against Wheeler County on the 18th. As for Wilkinson County, they will host Georgia Military College at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilkinson County is facing Georgia Military College at the right time seeing as Georgia Military College is stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
