Basketball Recap: Albemarle Comes Up Short

Albemarle lost against North Rowan back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Albemarle Bulldogs had to suffer through a 88-43 loss at the hands of the North Rowan Cavaliers. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 607th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 273rd).

Albemarle's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-19. As for North Rowan, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Albemarle will welcome Gray Stone Day at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Albemarle is facing Gray Stone Day at the right time seeing as Gray Stone Day is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for North Rowan, they will square off against West Davidson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Rowan will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
