Baseball Recap: Destin Has No Trouble Against Paxton

After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Destin brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They blew past the Paxton Bobcats 10-2 on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Sharks as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Caleb Wright spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on two hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed two walks, which is notable because Destin is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 4-11 otherwise.

At the plate, Palmer Robbins was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. He has become a key player for Destin: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-11 otherwise. McCarver Dahlman was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI.

Destin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Destin's record now sits at 6-12. As for Paxton, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.
