Baseball Recap: Calvary Day School Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Calvary Day School got themselves on the board against Thomasville on Saturday, but Thomasville never followed suit. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Thomasville Bulldogs. The win was just business as usual for the Cougars, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Anthony Hill was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over six innings pitched. Hill was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Hill wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Austin Setliff, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Calvary Day School's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Thomasville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Coming up, Calvary Day School will face off against Wyoming Valley West at 8:30 a.m. on March 16th. As for Thomasville, they will be playing at home against High Point Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
