It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Thatcher ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past the Show Low Cougars 4-3. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

Jett Howard was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Traekon ?TK? Kempton also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Thatcher now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Show Low, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thatcher will head out to square off against ALA - Ironwood at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Thatcher's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so ALA - Ironwood's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Show Low, they will venture away from home to take on Tuba City at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
