After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rossview, Stewart County was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 17-2 margin over the McEwen Warriors. Stewart County's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Ema Borden made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (she also didn't allow any walks). Borden was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two triples, three runs, and four RBI.
In other batting news, Cara Bucciarelli was incredible, going 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Carley Steinmetz was another key contributor, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.
