Recap: Providence Grove Patriots vs. Southwestern Randolph Cougars
The Providence Grove Patriots''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 16-15 to Southwestern Randolph. Providence Grove was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Southwestern Randolph apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Providence Grove has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season. As for Southwestern Randolph, their win bumped their record up to an identical 6-4.
Providence Grove will head out on the road to face off against Wheatmore at 7:30 p.m. on October 27th. Wheatmore comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Southwestern Randolph, they will look to defend their home field on October 27th against Trinity at 7:30 p.m.
