Softball Recap: Moody Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

Moody made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Bruceville-Eddy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Moody Bearcats were the clear victor by a 15-5 margin over the Bruceville-Eddy Eagles on Tuesday. This was payback for the Bearcats, who suffered an 11-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Moody's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Bruceville-Eddy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

Moody will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Jonesboro at 6:00 p.m. on March 21st. As for Bruceville-Eddy, they will take on Bosqueville at 6:00 p.m. on March 18th. Bruceville-Eddy has given up an average of 10.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
