Preview: Fairview Knights vs. Brighton Bulldogs
Fairview is 3-0 against Brighton since January of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Fairview Knights will be playing at home against the Brighton Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Fairview scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with an 80-68 win over Loveland. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Fairview.
Fairview's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bekkem Kritza, who scored 27 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kritza has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Foster, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Brighton came up short against Fort Collins on Thursday and fell 72-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (59), Brighton still had to take the loss.
Fairview has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Brighton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Fairview against Brighton in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 84-55 win. With Fairview ahead 47-22 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
