Baseball Recap: Big Sandy Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Big Sandy can now relate to. They lost 8-0 to the Burton Panthers on Thursday. Considering the last time the Wildcats couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Big Sandy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-10-1 record this season. As for Burton, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.

While Big Sandy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
