Soccer Game Preview: Rock Bridge vs. Timberland

The Rock Bridge Bruins will square off against the Timberland T-Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rock Bridge will be strutting in after a win while Timberland will be coming in after a defeat.

Rock Bridge is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Blue Valley Southwest, who was ranked 17th in their home state at the time (Rock Bridge was ranked fifth). The Bruins walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Timberwolves on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but Rock Bridge sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Meanwhile, Timberland lost 5-1 to Lindbergh on Saturday. Timberland were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-1.

Rock Bridge's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Timberland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Rock Bridge took their victory against Timberland in their previous matchup back in September of 2015 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Bruins repeat their success, or do the T-Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
