Volleyball Recap: River Forest Ingots vs. Washington Township Senators

River Forest lost against Washington Township back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Ingots came up short against the Senators, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-10, 25-20.

Mila Soto paced River Forest's offense, picking up six kills. Soto got some help from Angela Duh and her 14 assists. Finally, Gracelyn Cordero kept River Forest's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Washington Township had a senior duo take command as Yancey Scott had 11 digs and four aces and Abby Hart had 13 digs and one assist. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Scott. Olivia Riggs also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

River Forest's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Washington Township, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

River Forest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Highland on the 17th. As for Washington Township, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Kouts on the 17th.
