Baseball Recap: St. Joseph's Prep Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last six times St. Joseph's Prep and La Salle College had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Hawks fell just short of the Explorers by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. If the Hawks were looking for revenge after losing 1-0 to the Explorers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

St. Joseph's Prep saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Ward, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. That double was Ward's first of the season.

St. Joseph's Prep's record is now 7-10. As for La Salle College, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-2.

The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hawks 3.9, the Crusaders 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, La Salle College will square off against rival Archbishop Wood at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
