Recap: Wilson Hall Barons vs. Camden Military Spartans
The Wilson Hall Barons can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Camden Military 63-42. Given Wilson Hall's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while Camden Military is ranked 272nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Daniel Burton was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games he's played. Shawn michael Matthews was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Wilson Hall is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. As for Camden Military, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wilson Hall will take on Laurence Manning Academy at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Wilson Hall is coming into the game with four straight wins at home, meaning Laurence Manning Academy will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. Camden Military will take on Trinity Collegiate at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Collegiate has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
