Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Prep Takes a Loss

Lincoln Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Gilbert Classical Academy Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lightning of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-7, 25-17.

Lincoln Prep's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Gilbert Classical Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln Prep will take on Miami at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gilbert Classical Academy, they will square off against Veritas Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
