Softball Recap: Dieterich Falls Short of Martinsville in the Playoffs

Dieterich and Martinsville squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Dieterich had to settle for second. They took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bluestreaks. Movin Maroons fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bluestreaks since on Tuesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Dieterich and nudges their season record down to 10-11. As for Martinsville, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-13.

As of now, neither Dieterich nor the Bluestreaks have any future games scheduled.
