Football Game Preview: Willow Canyon Wildcats vs. West Point Dragons + How To Watch

Willow Canyon is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Thursday. They will challenge the West Point Dragons at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Willow Canyon is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Tolleson just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They were dealt a 43-14 loss at the hands of the Wolverines.

Despite the defeat, Willow Canyon had strong showings from Tate Callan, who threw for 155 yards and a pair of TDs, and Tobi Alade, who picked up 86 receiving yards and two scores.

Meanwhile, West Point didn't have quite enough to beat Ironwood on Friday and fell 19-16.

Willow Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for West Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything came up roses for Willow Canyon against West Point when the teams last played back in November of 2021, as the team secured a 58-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
