On Tuesday, Riverside got the W thanks in part to Max Lawson playing the best basketball he has all season. Lawson went 8 of 10 on his way to 22 points in addition to five assists and five boards. The effort marked the most points he has had since back in December of 2023. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played.

Lawson and Riverside will head out to square off against Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Ram got just the result they wanted when they last faced Independence, probably because Lawson had a solid game then too: he posted 15 points and eight rebounds.
