Stratford took a 16-run defeat the last time they faced off against Pomperaug, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Red Devils narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Panthers 7-6. This was payback for the Red Devils, who suffered a 17-1 loss the last time these two teams met.
