Softball Recap: Valley Takes a Loss

Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against the Canyon Springs Pioneers, falling 17-1. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by exactly 16 runs.

Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karissma Ramirez, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Canyon Springs, their win bumped their record up to 2-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley will welcome Boulder City at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Valley's pitchers better be ready for this one: Boulder City has averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Canyon Springs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sunrise Mountain at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
