Max Pelfrey didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with less than one earned run. On the year, he has an ERA of 1.14 over 12.3 innings pitched.
