Basketball Recap: Paramount Takes a Loss

Paramount lost against Firebaugh on January 8th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Paramount Pirates took a 61-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Firebaugh Falcons. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Paramount's defeat dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Firebaugh, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-7 record.

Paramount and Firebaugh could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Paramount will face off against Warren at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday down 683 places (1077 vs. 394). Similarly, Firebaugh (ranked 947th) will meet Downey (ranked 355th) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
