Volleyball Recap: Attica Red Ramblers vs. Fountain Central Mustangs
Attica was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fountain Central Mustangs. The Red Ramblers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Tuesday.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-15.
Rylee Simko was nothing short of spectacular for Fountain Central: she had 19 digs and three aces. Simko is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last seven games she's played dating back to last season.
Attica's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Fountain Central, the victory snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 6-16 record.
Attica will challenge Tri-County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Tri-County will roll in looking for their 20th straight win, something Attica surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fountain Central, they will square off against Bismarck-Henning at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Fountain Central is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses.
