Soccer Recap: Apollo Comes Up Short

Apollo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Owensboro Red Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Owensboro this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 back in August.

Apollo's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Owensboro, they pushed their record up to 7-0-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Apollo will welcome Central Hardin at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Owensboro, they will head out to challenge Webster County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
