Recap: Keys Gate Knights vs. Cushman Cougars

The Keys Gate Knights can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They took down Cushman 65-51. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Keys Gate also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Keys Gate can attribute much of their success to Jordan Mcbean, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mcbean has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Terrance Shannon, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Keys Gate's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12. As for Cushman, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.

Keys Gate will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Homestead at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cushman, Cushman and Colonial Christian will face off at 5:00 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Colonial Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 last Friday.
