Nicolet and Grafton are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Knights will take on the Black Hawks at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 33 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Nicolet and seven for Grafton.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Nicolet's offense. They lost 17-0 to Port Washington on Tuesday.

Nicolet saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Savannah Jewell, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Ashlyn Ganfield also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Grafton also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell 4-0 to Whitefish Bay on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Nicolet's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Grafton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Nicolet suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Grafton in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
