Lincoln-Way Central was the 2-0 winner over Sandburg when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Tuesday. The Knights' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Lincoln-Way Central ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21.

Lincoln-Way Central's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Sandburg, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 7-18.

Coming up, Lincoln-Way Central will welcome Lockport at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Porters will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sandburg, they will challenge Bradley-Bourbonnais at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
