Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Pioneers vs. Exeter Blue Hawks

The Trinity Pioneers will square off against the Exeter Blue Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Trinity's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Friday, everything went Trinity's way against Merrimack as Trinity made off with a 75-50 victory. Given the Pioneers' advantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Tomahawks are ranked 54th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Exeter might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 72-58 to Bedford, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Blue Hawks have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Trinity's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.6 points per game. As for Exeter, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-4.

Trinity was able to grind out a solid victory over Exeter when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 78-65. Will Trinity repeat their success, or does Exeter have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
