Softball Recap: Northland Lutheran Takes a Loss

After flying high against Marion on Thursday, Northland Lutheran came back down to earth. The Wildcats lost 12-1 to the Tigerton Tigers on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.

Northland Lutheran saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paige Kunkel, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. That double marked the first that Kunkel has hit this season.

Northland Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Tigerton, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Northland Lutheran wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 17-2 defeat against Wild Rose on the 27th. Tigerton has also already played their next contest (against Tri-County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
