Clairton takes loss despite strong efforts from Michael Ruffin and Taris Wooding

Recap: Clairton Bears vs. Springdale Dynamos
The Clairton Bears were the 69-56 winner over the Springdale Dynamos when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Clairton took a 57-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Springdale on Saturday. Clairton's defeat continues an unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Clairton's loss came despite strong showings from Taris Wooding and Michael Ruffin. Wooding scored 17 points along with two steals, while Ruffin scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ruffin has scored all season.
Clairton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Springdale, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clairton will take on Riverview at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverview is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Springdale, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Propel Montour at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. Propel Montour comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
