Soccer Game Preview: Asheboro Hybrid Academy vs. Cresset Christian Academy

The Asheboro Hybrid Academy Warriors will take on the Cresset Christian Academy Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Thursday, Asheboro Hybrid Academy got the win against Southwestern Randolph by a conclusive 8-1. It was an even better day for McKenna Voncannon as she scored five goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Cresset Christian Academy waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let Sheets Memorial Christian get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. Given Cresset Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while Sheets Memorial Christian is ranked 516th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Asheboro Hybrid Academy's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-6. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those four games. As for Cresset Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1-1.
