Henrietta fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Jacksboro on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 9-8. The Bearcats' loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Henrietta's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 18-3. As for Jacksboro, their record is now 16-11-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Henrietta will take on rival Iowa Park at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bearcats are on a six-game streak of home wins, the Hawks a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind. Meanwhile, Jacksboro is set to face off against their familiar foe City View at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
