Baseball Recap: Saks Wildcats vs. Faith Christian Lions
Saks was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 17-5 to the Faith Christian Lions. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly 12 runs.
Tyler Rucker made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season. LaJuan Curry was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
Saks' loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Faith Christian, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-2.
Looking ahead, Saks will challenge Jacksonville Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Faith Christian, they will take on Winterboro at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Faith Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
