Baseball Recap: Leverett's Chapel Lions vs. Union Hill Bulldogs
Leverett's Chapel managed to slip by Union Hill the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Leverett's Chapel Lions lost 9-2 to the Union Hill Bulldogs on Friday. The Lions' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Carson Ford was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He struck out 11 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up three earned (and six unearned) runs off three hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 3-for-3.
Ford wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Williams, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one stolen base. That triple was Williams' first of the season.
Leverett's Chapel's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5-1. As for Union Hill, they now have a winning record of 5-4-1.
Coincidentally, Leverett's Chapel and Union Hill will both be playing Miller Grove the next time they take the field. Union Hill will head out to face Miller Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Leverett's Chapel will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on March 27th.
