Basketball Game Preview: Universal Learning Academy vs. Canton Preparatory Chargers

Universal Learning Academy is 0-4 against Canton Preparatory since January of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. Universal Learning Academy will head out to face off against the Canton Preparatory Chargers at 7:00 p.m.

Universal Learning Academy is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Thursday. They took a hard 55-41 fall against Chavez Academy. One positive for Universal Learning Academy, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Canton Preparatory slipped by Trillium Academy 55-54 on Thursday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Chargers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 424th, while Trillium Academy are ranked 175th).

Canton Preparatory is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Universal Learning Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.

Universal Learning Academy couldn't quite finish off Canton Preparatory when the teams last played back in January of 2024 and fell 2-0. Can Universal Learning Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
