Basketball Recap: Dunwoody Wildcats vs. Tri-Cities Bulldogs
Dunwoody was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were beaten by the Tri-Cities Bulldogs 88-47. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-60 back in January.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emerson Mitchell, who posted ten points. Matt Corgile was another key player, putting up 11 points.
Sean Vandorn continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Tri-Cities, going 10 of 12 on his way to 24 points in addition to five boards and three steals. What's more, Vandorn also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Carby Martin, who had 13 points and five assists.
Dunwoody's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Tri-Cities, they pushed their record up to 19-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
Dunwoody wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 52-40 win against Lakeside on the 5th. As for Tri-Cities, they have also already played their next contest, a 70-62 victory against Decatur on the 7th.
