Volleyball Recap: Straughn Extends Winning Streak to Three

Straughn had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Zion Chapel Rebels. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Blakeley Smith paced Straughn's offense, picking up 15 kills. Smith got some help from Kylee Brown and her 12 assists. Smith was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Straughn's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Zion Chapel, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.

Straughn wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Samson on the 4th. Zion Chapel has also already played their next contest (against New Brockton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
