Castor and Saline are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Castor Tigers challenge Saline Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Castor has given up an average of 9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Castor is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 16 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Quitman on Tuesday. They came up short against the Wolverines, falling 11-1.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Saline). Everything went their way against Summerfield on Tuesday as Saline made off with a 24-6 victory. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Bobcats with their most commanding win of the season.

Saline now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Castor, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-6.

Everything went Castor's way against Saline when the teams last played back in April of 2023, as Castor made off with a 14-4 win. Does Castor have another victory up their sleeve, or will Saline turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
