Durango's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Pagosa Springs Pirates as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Demons in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won five in a row.

While Durango might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Pagosa Springs scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-21, 25-19.

Devyn Edwards paced Durango's offense, picking up 15 kills. Edwards got some help from Indie Shows and her 32 assists.

Tatiana Monterroso and Charity Domingo certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Monterroso had 12 digs, while Domingo had ten digs. Amber Snarr also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

Durango's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Pagosa Springs, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-13.

Durango and Pagosa Springs could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings. The Demons (ranked 159th) will meet Fruita Monument (ranked 28th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Pagosa Springs will square off against Bayfield at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (215 vs. 36).
