Soccer Game Preview: Dunnellon vs. Crystal River

Dunnellon is 0-5 against Crystal River since November of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Dunnellon Tigers will be playing at home against the Crystal River Pirates at 7:30 p.m. Dunnellon's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Dunnellon fell victim to North Marion and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Colts by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Crystal River kept a clean sheet against Weeki Wachee on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Hornets.

Kaitlyn Wasylyk and Gracie Ulrich scored both of Crystal River's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Crystal River now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Dunnellon, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4-1.

Dunnellon might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Crystal River when the teams last played back in January. Can Dunnellon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
