Football Recap: Crisp Academy Takes a Loss

Crisp Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 15 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-8. They were beaten by the Vidalia Heritage Academy Eagles 57-0. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Eagles are ranked second).

As for Vidalia Heritage Academy, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five matchups by 39 points or more so far this season.

Vidalia Heritage Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dylan Green out in front who picked up 55 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 42 yards and one score. Levi McDade made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Coincidentally, Crisp Academy and Vidalia Heritage Academy will both be playing Citizens Christian Academy the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will head out to face the Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Eagles will host them at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th.
