Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rock Academy). They put the hurt on the Orange Glen Patriots with a sharp 73-47 victory on Monday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their 22-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Leading Rock Academy to victory were Roland Balderramos and James Whitley. Balderramos went 9 of 12 en route to 25 points, while Whitley dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. Whitley's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Stephon Howell was another key player, putting up ten points.

Rock Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 7.3 assists per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 5.3.

Rock Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-20. As for Orange Glen, they dropped their record down to 0-23 with the defeat, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.
