Recap: Calaveras Red Hawks vs. Sonora Wildcats
The Calaveras Red Hawks lost against the Sonora Wildcats back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Calaveras took a 40-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sonora. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Calaveras has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Calaveras still got an impressive performance from Ryan Mcdaniel, who scored eight points. Corbin Curran was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds.
Sonora's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Parker Moore led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Riley Edwards, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Calaveras and nudges their season record down to 9-12. As for Sonora, they pushed their record up to 12-10 with that victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.
Calaveras will take on Bret Harte at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Sonora, they will head out on the road to square off against Summerville at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
