Softball Recap: York Continues Home Dominance on Wednesday

York won the last time they faced Gray-New Gloucester and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Patriots. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Piper Catanese was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Lindsay Rivers, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double.

York's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Gray-New Gloucester, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
