Valley is 3-0 against Artesia since December of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Valley Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Artesia Bulldogs at 2:00 p.m. Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54 points per game this season.

Artesia is hoping to do what Manzano couldn't on Thursday: put an end to Valley's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Valley escaped with a win against Manzano by the margin of a single free throw, 52-51.

Angelito Villa continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, as he made all 6 shots he took for 22 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Valley's points. Another player making a difference was Jose Jaramillo, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 10 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Artesia hadn't done well against Carlsbad recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Artesia walked away with a 64-51 victory over Carlsbad. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Valley now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Artesia, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Valley skirted past Artesia 38-36 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Does Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Artesia turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
