Volleyball Recap: Covenant Christian Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Covenant Christian can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Winston County Yellowjackets on Friday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellowjackets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

This is the second loss in a row for Covenant Christian and nudges their season record down to 17-19. As for Winston County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 27-14 record this season.

Coincidentally, Covenant Christian and Winston County will both be playing Mars Hill Bible the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Panthers on Friday, while the Yellowjackets will play them later in the day, at 9:30 a.m.
