Baseball Recap: Solorio Falls Short of Taft in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Solorio can now relate to. They fell just short of the Taft Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in March.

Solorio dropped their record down to 8-15 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Taft, they now have a winning record of 16-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Solorio will square off against Loyola Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Taft, they will venture away from home to square off against Simeon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolverines will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
