Recap: Palatka Panthers vs. Middleburg Broncos
The Palatka Panthers lost to the Middleburg Broncos back in January of 2019, but the Palatka Panthers didn't allow the Middleburg Broncos the same satisfaction on Thursday. Palatka came out on top against Middleburg by a score of 35-27. The win made it back-to-back wins for Palatka.
Palatka found their leader in underclassman Jhane Fountain , who scored 15 points along with 7 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Fountain has scored at least 25% of Palatka's points. Another player making a difference was Charnelle Cue , who scored 11 points along with 9 rebounds.
Palatka's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Middleburg, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palatka will take on Keystone Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Middleburg, they will be playing at home against Florida School for the Deaf & Blind at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
